PRESENTATION
Educo (member of ChildFund Alliance in Spain) is a global development NGO. We defend children’s rights and promote sustainable social change by improving the living conditions of vulnerable populations, especially children. Our action is based on the Convention of the Rights of the Child. Out three institutional goals are: education, protection and governance.
Educo has been working in Asia since 1998, both through direct action and through local partners. Our work in the region has focused on Bangladesh, India and Philippines.
WHAT IS THE PURPOSE OF THIS JOB?
To support our teams and local partner organization in the region to build evidence and learning in Educo through participatory monitoring and evaluation of the impact of our social transformation initiatives.
RESPONSABILITIES
Design and implementation of Educo’s Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning (MEL) strategy in the region.
Ensure the integration of the institutional policies and guidelines within the MEL system.
Develop the measurement system at the regional level and provide technical guidance and support to the country offices in developing the system for measuring the Country Plan.
Accompany and coordinate the carrying out of internal and external evaluations of programs and projects in the region.
Establish a regional learning system: develop learning tools; systematize and socialize key learnings and good practices.
Provide support in the hiring of monitoring and evaluation staff in the region, as well as in building the capacities of the team and local partner organizations
REQUISITES
· Degree or advanced training in social and human sciences. Other backgrounds will be considered if accompanied by adequate job experience.
· Experience (minimum 5 years) in monitoring, evaluation and learning.
· Experience (minimum 5 years) in the International Development sector.
· Experience providing training on logical framework, monitoring and evaluation.
· Experience with the Child Rights-Based Approach and the Gender Approach.
· Experience in project cycle management and the logical framework.
· Statistical experience is a plus.
· Strong English language skills; Spanish and French a plus.
· Availability to travel frequently within the Asia region (40% of time).

CONDITIONS:
REMUNERATION
Gross annual salary of 30.000 € (all extra payments included). To be determined in function of the candidate’s experience and current country of residence.
LOCATION
The job will be based in one of Educo’s country offices in the region:India, Bangladesh and Philippines. Availability for travel throughout Asia.
DURATION OF CONTRACT The initial duration is expected to be 12 months with possible extension
