As National Director – World Vision India, based in Chennai, India, you will oversee the development and strategy of all country operations. World Vision India was founded in the 1950s and now serves more than 26 lakh children and their families in over 5,200 communities across 24 states.
World Vision India is the leading Christian humanitarian organisation working to create lasting change in the lives of India’s most vulnerable children, families and communities.
World Vision India has three major institutions within one single organisation:
- A grassroots operational organisation dedicated to relief, development and advocacy work
- IMPACT, a World Vision India microfinance company
- World Vision India Resource Development, a fully-fledged fundraising office which currently engages with over 35 million Indians and contributes almost 20% of the budget of World Vision India.

We are looking for an outstanding Indian citizen, devout Christian and experienced visionary leader to lead all World Vision India field and development operations, the World Vision Resource Development (fundraising) office and the IMPACT microfinance division across the country to address the issues of poverty affecting children in India.
Working closely with the National Board, the Regional Leader and wider leadership of World Vision International, you will promote human transformation, seek justice, bear witness to the Kingdom of God and facilitate the well-being of children within their families and communities in alignment with World Vision’s mission, vision and core values.**Your Focus:**

We are looking for an outstanding Indian citizen with...
- Postgraduate degree in management or social sciences (regular course, not distance learning) (advanced degree is preferred)
- At least ten (10) years of senior strategic management leadership, preferably with a global organisation and/or international exposure
- Effective communication skills in English, and fluency in one or more regional language; working knowledge in Hindi would be helpful
- Experience in leading local fundraising, including management responsibilities preferably over the areas of fundraising with major private donors and Governments
- A good grasp of current socio-political, economic, religious and cultural issues facing India
- Willing to work and travel extensively in-country as well as internationally (approximately 20-25 per cent of working time). Is this the job for you?
