About Blossom
Blossom is a grassroots non-profit organisation founded in 1993 in Tamil Nadu, India. Blossom is working towards the personal, social and economic development of disadvantaged and marginalized members of the community – especially children. The projects and activities of Blossom Trust fall into four main areas of focus:
Health: Community-based prevention and care of tuberculosis, diabetes and HIV/AIDS
LGBTQ Community: Our newest project in supporting the LGBTQ community through health and community empowerment.
Children: Working to up hold the rights of disadvantaged children; ensuring access to health and education services
Environment and Agriculture: Projects related to water reclamation and organic farming

What We're Looking For
Blossom Trust is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Office Coordinator Intern to help us develop our operations in both existing and new projects alike and to achieve a greater outreach in doing so. While assisting the director, Mercy Annapoorni, will be your main responsibility, the ideal candidate will also be required to multitask under the pressure of short term deadlines, demonstrate flexibility and patience in a ever changing office environment. At the moment our priority projects focus on: A new and upcoming LGBTQ community project, diabetes & tuberculosis care and support and DaySpring Children's Home.. Any specific experience in the aforementioned areas would be preferred.
It is important that you have analytical and problem-solving skills, a strong attention to detail and are able to work under pressure with minimum supervision. You will work in a small team, but be primarily self-directed and adaptable to ever-changing situations.
Role and Responsibilities :
- Provide administrative assistance to the Director
- Itinerary, visa and travel arrangements for the director
- Assist in writing donor reports with the monitoring & evaluation team
- Office and Local Staff organization
- Email coordination for volunteers, staff and partners
- File maintenance
- Petty cash handling
- Short term volunteer management
- Assist with research for potential grant partnership
- Arranging and posting social media content
Required
Experience in:
Personal Assistance
Social Media Relations
Office Administration
Donor relations
Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Bachelor’s degree in International Relations, Development Studies, Human Rights, Human Resources, or a related field
Keen analytical and problem-solving skills, with meticulous attention to detail
Fluency in written English, with strong written and verbal communication
Highly motivated self-starter, able to work on own initiative with minimal oversight, efficiently organize and prioritize workload.
Able to work well in a team and to maintain effective working relationships in a multicultural environment
