Fundación Educación y Cooperación (Educo) has been working in India since 1998, through local NGO partners, reaching over 25,000 Children. Our work in India has so far, focused on Maharashtra, and will gradually expand into other priority States.
Our work in the ASIA region has focused on Bangladesh, India and Philippines while Educo has country offices in Southern America as well as Africa, and Head Office being in Barcelona, Spain
WHAT IS THE PURPOSE OF THIS JOB?
EDUCO India is looking for a dynamic professional, with 12-15 years experience in working with international/ national organizations, focused on child rights, having led innovative models of development programs & projects, demonstrated team leadership, worked with CSRs, government programs, alliances/ networks, lead/; facilitated action research, and the like.
The Program Manager, under the leadership of the Country Director, would be a driving force to (i) design projects & develop proposals (ii) develop program strategies, (iii) conceptualize, design and incubate innovative projects; (iv) collaborate with Res Mobilization to pitch for grants; (v) stewardship of team, performance & talent management, (vi) leverage resources from the Asia Region & global team.
JOB OBJECTIVES
Program Quality
§ Provide leadership to conceptualize, facilitate and develop Annual Operational Plan [AOP], aligning it with Global Strategic Framework and Country Context;
§ Develop high quality concept notes, project proposals, budget proposals, TORs, Contracts;
§ Develop & strengthen monitoring, evaluation, accountability& learning tools & systems;
§ Create Analytical Reports to support strategic planning & management;
§ Identify new avenues for program development
§ Incubate and harvest innovative ideas for leveraging resources
Internal Collaboration & Synergy
§ Provide effective management support to team, in planning, monitoring, evaluation & learning
§ Ensure effective technical support to team in the Child Rights domain
§ Review and provide critical analysis of team’s outputs thereby enhancing team’s analytical abilities
§ Periodically review and assess team’s performance plans, provide constructive feedback towards team’s personal growth & development
§ Identify training needs and facilitate competency enhancement of team
§ Strengthen cross-functional relations between program and finance team
§ Review and provide critical analysis of financial reports
§ Mobilize and harness resources from the ASIA team and Global team, towards enhancing program quality
External Collaboration & Synergy
§ Develop & strengthen the rapport with Partner Directors and teams
§ Lead and facilitate Joint Planning, Monitoring, Evaluation & Learning in collaboration with Local Partner Organizations; Asia & Global Teams
§ Lead and undertake Capacity Assessment of on going and new Local Partner Organizations
§ Identify avenues to support the partners in enhancing the skills and competencies of Local Partner Organizations
§ Collaborate with Country Director to leverage muit- sector projects including PPCP and PPP project models
Resource Diversification
§ Collaborate with Asia region to strengthen the resource diversification plans
§ Plan and pitch for grants through innovative project designs
Represent EDUCO in national and state level forums, alliances, networks
Essential :
· Post Graduation in relevant field (Social Science, Sociologyand related subjects) with minimum 12-15 years experience in development sector or government sector and or CSR
· Domain knowledge of child rights; gender; development.
· Skills in managing relationships and working with local partner organizations, government officials and other stakeholders such as donors
· Worked with International development agencies
· Managed teams independently
· Excellent communication skills, especially in English
LOCATION
The job will be based in Educo’s country office in Mumbai. Availability for travel throughout India and occasional international travel.
DURATION OF CONTRACT
The initial duration is expected to be 24 months and option to renew, with a probationary period of 6 months.
