URGENT - WE ARE LOOKING FOR SOMEONE THAT CAN JOIN OUR TEAM AS SOON AS POSSIBLE FOR THE DURATION OF 3-6 MONTHS
Dayspring home is located in Chittoor, a rural village of the Madurai District and is home to 27 orphans between the ages of 3 and 18. The children here have all been affected by HIV/AIDS and/or TB in some respect- orphaned by the disease, infected and then rejected by their families or can no longer be supported by infected parent(s). The manager plays a major role at the home and is responsible for the daily life of the children and setting a good example for them.
Some of the main duties include:
-Setting the rhythm for the day with regular time for meals and bedtime
-Reporting to the home supervisor and coordinator for the farm
-Monitoring the children's health and hygiene
-Creating and maintaining systems of management
-Ensuring that the rooms (dormitories, classroom, library, toilets) are properly maintained
-Fundraising for Dayspring home
-Expressing attention, love and care with the children
-Teaching the children the importance of education, cleanliness and discipline
-Getting to know each child very well including their profile, history, family, education level and hardships
-Distributing HIV or TB tablets
Requirements:
-Fluent in English or Tamil (both is an asset)
-Passionate about social development, human rights and children
-3 month minimum
-Willing and able to work five days per week and dedicate ample time to the children
-Comfortable displaying authority when necessary
