The Global Alliance for Improved Nutrition (GAIN) is seeking a Senior Project Manager, Large Scale Food Fortification (LSFF) to lead on the coordination and implementation of the results framework and reporting of project activities for the LSFF investment for GAIN India. programme. This role will be based in New Delhi, India.

The Global Alliance for Improved Nutrition (GAIN) is a Swiss-based foundation launched at the UN in 2002 to tackle the human suffering caused by malnutrition. Working with both governments and businesses, we aim to transform food systems so that they deliver more nutritious food for all people. In particular, we aim to make healthier food choices more desirable, more available, and more affordable. GAIN’s mission is to advance nutrition outcomes by improving consumption of nutritious and safe food for all people, especially the most vulnerable to malnutrition.

About the Role

Reporting to Senior Policy Advisor with a dotted line reporting into India Program Lead and Country Director, the Senior Project Manager will manage the country coordinator mechanism to ensure effective planning, design and implementation of the results framework and reporting of project activities for all partners supporting the LSFF investment and periodic donor reporting.

The Senior Project Manager will also be responsible for documenting key project learnings in the form of knowledge sharing to ensure cross learning across the LSFF partners.

Specific Responsibilities include:

  • Engaging in expert consultations as required to support efforts in scaling up fortification through evidence generation and dissemination
  • Supervising the project manager to manage project MIS, update activities, expenditures, results and feed updates and present project status updates to the QUAD, senior leadership, and donors
  • Leading the development, documentation and modification of the common results framework (CRF) of all India projects across partners supporting the LSFF investment, in consultation with relevant development partners, donor and other key stakeholders
  • Maintaining a continuous feedback mechanism with donors, government stakeholders, and LSFF partners
  • Facilitating periodic stakeholder consultations through committee engagement and period meetings
  • Working with technical partners to ensure gender mainstreaming into the LSFF project implementation activities
  • Overseeing the quality of monitoring data shared by partners and mentoring partners on accurate and timely reporting on project deliverables as per the common results framework (CRF)

About You

The ideal candidate should have professional experience directly or indirectly related to project design, project management and/or implementation, preferably in the nutrition sector.

Experience in research, program monitoring and/or evaluation including the development and operationalization of project M&E frameworks and plans in international development agencies is desirable. In addition, you should be a strategic thinker in areas of nutrition and food systems relevant for GAIN’s programming areas.

The postholder should be a strong leader with experience in mentoring team members. You should have skills in qualitative and quantitative research methods (survey design, implementation, data analysis, survey management, budgeting, etc.), and implementation research expertise is considered a plus.

Experience working in multicultural environments, preferably gained through working at global / international organization would be essential to the position.

About our Offer

The salary on offer for this role is from INR 1,578,330 – INR 1,805,954 per annum, depending on experience.
