India: Project Manager

The Project Manager will work with field staffs, trainers, community members, partners and any other stake holders, to prevent trafficking and manage and monitor the livelihood training program for women and girls who are the victims of human trafficking or at the risk of human trafficking. PM will also work with Bookkeeper, Project Support Office and Counselor in Forbesganj office to ensure all operational expense and social supports are executed on a timely and accurate manner. PM is also responsible to create linkages with local district administrations, and community living in immediate vicinity of the red light areas. The PM will report directly to State Program Manager on weekly basis.

Job Responsibilities:

Project Manager

· Manage and monitor the Nomi Network Economic Empowerment Project in Kishanganj

· Coordinate with PM on training schedule and set up weekly, monthly and quarterly training according to program log frame.

· Maintain the attendance register and keep the records of all the training

· Assist PM in annual project budget preparation & quarterly re-projection.

· Monitor monthly project budget and work closely with PM and bookkeeper to ensure all expense are reported and recorded.

· Visit community and build and maintain strong relationship

· Compile weekly reports using Nomi report template

· Compile monthly reports and assistant PM on corporate report submission

· Study and learn Nomi training and Insure Nomi principle, standards are implemented in each phase of the training

· Create linkages with different stake holders including local district administrations, banks and business

· Be a strong motivator, role model and supporter for participants and filed staffs and ensure Nomi program standard and expectation are implemented

· Build capacity of field staffs, trainers and trainees

· Visit other nearby red light areas and create relationship with the community for future expansion

· Look for new feasible business ideas to work with PM on implementation

Key Working Relationships:
Internal: Progam Manager, Vice president, field staffs, Project support office, Counselor, Nomi trainers
External: Local Partner organizations; Donors as required; Technical and resource agencies, Government officials, Non-government organizations
Qualifications and Competencies:

· Minimum 3-5 years’ experience managing Livelihood project/ trafficking/ vocational training

· Master’s Degree in Social Work or a related field

· Possess excellent oral and written communication skills in English and Hindi.

· Proficient in Microsoft office, especially in excel and word

· Strong advocacy and representation skills.

· Effective problem solving skills, proactive and comfortable working with a team

· Self-motivated and able to complete work in timely manner and with minimal supervision

· Ability to constantly evaluate and prioritize tasks

· Ability to work independently, good judgment skills and commitment to Nomi’s mission

· Ability to transfer knowledge through formal and informal training

· Gender sensitive
