About Blossom
Blossom is a grassroots non-profit organisation founded in 1993 in Tamil Nadu, India. Blossom is working towards the personal, social and economic development of disadvantaged and marginalized members of the community. The projects and activities of Blossom Trust fall into four main areas of focus:
- Children: Working with kids affected by HIV/AIDS and/or TB to ensure they have access to education, health care and safety
- Transgender community: A new project working with the community on HIV/AIDS testing and education
- Sustainable Agriculture: Projects related to Dayspring Organic Farm
- Health: Community-based prevention and care of tuberculosis, HIV/AIDS, and diabetes

What We're Looking For
Blossom Trust is seeking a highly motivated Project Coordinator Intern to help us target regional growth opportunities for our services, develop strategies, and implement various projects in line with our goals in Tamil Nadu by utilizing our core competencies in plugging gaps in existing health services. This will be done by:
- 1) Identifying gaps,
- 2) Overseeing donor relations and assisting in grant writing to fund proposed services,
- 3) Monitoring and data collection,
- 4) Evaluation.
It is important that you have analytical and problem-solving skills, a strong attention to detail and are able to work under pressure with minimum supervision. You will work in a small team, under Blossoms Director, but be primarily self-directed and adaptable to ever-changing situations.

Duration & Start Date
The successful candidate will be based in Virudhunagar,Tamil Nadu, on a full-time basis (10:00-6:00, Monday to Saturday) for a minimum period of 3 months. With the option for time off and to work remotely throughout India.
Start date is 16 December 2019. Interviews will be conducted on a rolling basis so we encourage you to apply early. .
Responsibilities
- Organisation : You may be working on several task within the project at once under tight deadlines. Develop and track internal calendar of proposal deadlines for applying, monitor and evaluation of community impact and report findings to stakeholders
Prepare: Concept papers, donor reports and proposals, project outlines, and SOPs
Assist Director: monitoring and evaluating projects success and making the necessary changes, researching successful project implementation methods and incorporating them
Fundraising and Proposal Writing : To develop a proposal for the assigned project you must familiarize yourself with our programs, goals and financial needs as well as current trends and best practices in the development field. Then assist with grant writing and donor relations. Identify relevant funding opportunities, flag requests for proposals and other grant opportunities.
Qualifications and Skills
Bachelors degree in a relevant field
Proficiency in written and spoken English required
Excellent communication skills with multi-cultural staff
Skilled in Microsoft Word, Excel and Google Docs, spreadsheet and drive
Email proficient
Social Media literate
Excellent grammar and strong research skills needed
Experience in organizing and prioritizing own work
Effective team player with the ability to work and think independently, and to be resourceful and proactive demonstrated interest in international issues, health- HIV services, and shelters
Work well under pressure
Adaptable, patient, respectful of diversity and cultural differences
Compensation
- 3,000 Rupees per month
- 2 simple meals a day 6 days a week & basic accommodation
