PRESENTATION

Educo (member of ChildFund Alliance) is a global development NGO. We defend children’s rights and promote sustainable social change by improving the living conditions of vulnerable populations, especially children. Our action is based on the Convention of the Rights of the Child. Our three institutional goals are: education, protection and governance.

Educo has been working in Asia since 1998, both through direct action and through local partners. Our work in the region has focused on Bangladesh, India and Philippines.

WHAT IS THE PURPOSE OF THIS JOB?

We are looking for a dynamic professional, with proven experience in working with international organizations working focused in child rights.

Regional P. Quality Coordinator will ensure the quality of EDUCO programs at regional level and full incorporation of child rights programming cycle across the region

JOB OBJECTIVES

  1. Ensure program quality and provide technical guidance and support

  2. Ensure the design and development of programs responding to EDUCO quality standards across the countries of the region. Close accompaniment and technical advising in design and development of strategic programming processes

  3. Provide strategic and technical guidance and support to the program team at each country office in child-rights based programming cycle in the region

  4. Contributes to country plans/annual operating plans for the countries of the region as well as new geographical area, sectors and partners assessment processes

  5. Capacity building

· Develops and implement specific training modules to improve internal capacity on program quality.

· Promote the general common understanding by sharing our collective experience of child rights programming

  1. Networking:

· Participation in regional relevant Networks and Platforms

REQUISITES

  • Degree in development/social work or related discipline, postgraduate degree preferred.
    Other backgrounds will be considered if accompanied by adequate job experience.

  • Minimum 5 years of working experience in same level in an international company or an international NGO.

  • Proven experience of closely working with children’s groups and child-led organizations and application of child friendly tools.

  • Deep knowledge of child rights and protection.

  • Good knowledge of participatory methodologies in all project cycle.

  • Fluency in English; Spanish and French a plus.

  • Availability to travel frequently within the Asia region.

CONDITIONS:

REMUNERATION

Gross annual salary 35.000 USD (all extra payments included). To be determined in function of the candidate’s experience and current country of residence.

LOCATION

The job will be based in one of Educo’s country offices in the region, in Dhaka (Bangladesh), Manila/Legazpi (Philippines) or Mumbai (India). Availability for travel throughout Asia.

DURATION OF CONTRACT

The initial duration is expected to be 12 months and option to renew, with a probationary period.
