Girl Effect builds youth brands and mobile platforms to empower girls to change their lives
We’re a creative non-profit empowering girls to change their lives. Started by the Nike Foundation, we are experts in media, mobile, brand and international development: a unique mix of skills that we use to solve global problems in a different way.
We work across the world in the places where girls are marginalised and vulnerable. We create for young people in ways they love and interact with. And it's all delivered through the media and mobile tech they use every day – from apps that build skills, to TV dramas that explore vital issues, to magazines written by girls.
Girl Effect India is in the process of conceptualising and then launching its Programme Model for this market. We’re looking to create a youth brand with mobile internet as its centre of gravity which brings young girls (and boys) aged 15 to 19, living in India’s major cities, together around key issues - such as education, employment and better relations with boys.
Youth engagement in all stages of the work will be key to the brand’s success. Towards this, multiple research streams, covering primary and secondary research methods (both qualitative and quantitative) are being deployed. These include: Face to face qualitative-based interactions with young people and experts; media data analysis; digital access, growth and scale projections; quantitative surveys; media diaries; secondary research and analysis of quant and qual competitor data; setting up a baseline survey for measuring impact; and identifying opportunities and gaps for research and evidence gathering as we develop our Strategy and Products.
The Senior Evidence Manager will lead the design, scope and successful deployment of the Evidence Strategy for our India youth brand. The role plays a critical role in the successful launch and sustainability of our brand, since the Programme Model needs to demonstrate efficiency and efficacy is achievement of its impact goals from the get go.
We are looking for a nimble, agile decision maker, who has led research and evidence teams in the past. The role requires both a strategic and action-oriented mindset.
