Chemonics seeks a workplan development advisor for the ongoing USAID Frontier Health Markets Engage project in India. Building on over 30 years of USAID investment, FHM Engage focuses on strengthening local health markets by addressing the root causes of market failures in the core market functions to create the necessary behavior change that catalyzes supply and demand and supports sustainable change. The workplan development advisor will draft the Scope of Work and activity description for India implementing partners and finalize them in coordination with Chemonics’ Partnerships Team. This position will be based in New Delhi, India. We are looking for individuals who have a passion for making a difference in the lives of people around the world.

Responsibilities include:

  • Following up with prospective partners on scheduling, attending the meetings, documenting the discussions and framing the analysis for the workplan
  • Take minutes of meetings/workshops with Mission Teams (and in coordination with PMU for virtual meetings) and incorporating notes into workplan sections
  • Developing power point presentations in discussions with AOR and Mission Teams
  • Develop the background analysis and contextual framing and integrate with work plan sections
  • Drafting the SoW and activity description for local partner organizations in India and work with the PMU and HQ Partnerships Team to create teaming and partnering arrangements
  • Track the tasks for developing workplan activities, based on each objective in the mission SOW
  • Support the development of technical requirements in job descriptions, and coordinate with the program management unit (PMU), assist with the advertisement and recruitment process

Qualifications:

  • Experience developing USAID workplans and budgets
  • Experience cooperating with multiple partners to collaborate on a scope of work.
  • Short term consulting experience in a coordination and operations management role
  • Communicates clearly and concisely in both verbal and written communications; strong cross-culture communication skills
  • Demonstrated experience presenting and reporting on project programs
  • Skilled with Microsoft office programs, including PowerPoint, Word, and Excel
  • Interest and experience in private health sector management preferred
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, requiring a high degree of communication and ability to meet deadlines.
  • May require working hours outside of India business hours in order to communicate and collaborate with partners in the USA
  • Demonstrated leadership, versatility, and integrity

Duration of Assignment:

This assignment is expected to be near full time over a three-month period. The 65 days of LOE

will begin as soon as the advisor is onboarded in March and run through June, 2023.
