Driven by our OP2030 of being Wise Steward, the Regional Finance Analyst contributes to the achievement of effective and efficient financial management and resource development in the Regional Offices (ROs) and Field Offices (FOs) through:
· providing timely and specialized financial and accounting information, analytics and insights to ROs and FOs, to enable timely improvement actions and right decision makings;
· facilitating and tracking various capacity building initiatives and activities in ROs and FOs; compiling and sharing finance related best practices; directly providing capacity building to ROs’ and NOs’ finances in the area of financial analysis and the usage of various tools and systems to enable FOs to perform the same; and
· supporting effective grant financial risk management and compliance.
As Regional Finance Analyst, you will provide overall leadership, management, and general technical direction to the activity, ensuring an integrated approach to achieving project results. You shall be the principal point of contact in Sierra Leone for procedural and substantive matters, including technical matters and shall coordinate and ultimately be responsible for the management and implementation of the activity. You shall also be responsible for ensuring quality control and the overall responsiveness of technical assistance provided under the award and expected to proactively identify issues and risks related to activity implementation in a timely manner and suggest appropriate adjustments.
Requirements include:
- Bachelor Degree in Finance or Accounting or relevant field, required
- Chartered Accountant, Master Degree in Financial Management, preferred
- Excellent accounting and financial management skill
- Demonstrated ability to solve problems, harness opportunities, and gather resources and knowledge
- Very good understanding of WV FM standards and systems such as Sun6, Support Cost allocation, Grants Management, ProVision, Horizon, CRM (SIMMA), GEMS, etc...
- Strong analytical, organizational, problem solving, and cross cultural skills
- Good attention to details
- Good command of English (Oral and Written)
