To expand our Advisory team, we are looking for a Regional Community Based Inclusive Development (CBID) Advisor for Asia.
This is a full-time position based either in Pakistan or in India. Local contractual conditions of the respective country and in accordance with the national immigration laws apply. An expatriation is not intended.
Special indication: valid work permit (applicable to foreign nationals only)
These are your responsibilities
- Implement the CBID Initiative Plan in a selected portfolio of Asian countries in alignment with other CBID advisors in the region
- Contribute to the continuous development and implementation of the CBID Capacity Development & Training programme
- Provide direct support to CBM Country Offices and partner staff on CBID
- Conduct CBID assessments on request of Country Offices, the Regional Hub or the CBID Initiative
- Develop, maintain and disseminate good practice examples and case studies of CBID programmes which can be used for reporting, general communication and advocacy work
- Participate in the development of CBID proposals for funding opportunities
- Facilitate evidence-based CBID-practice linked with programmatic interventions (e.g. through collaboration with academic institutions)
- Support the development and publication of content on CBM’s CBID work across all internal and external communication channels
These are your qualifications
- At least 10 years of community development experience in Asia, or in a relevant and related field of work
- Master’s degree in development, social sciences or a related field
- In-depth knowledge of the domain of disability inclusion
- Disability inclusion related experience/knowledge of inclusive project cycle management
- Proven experience in facilitation and building capacity through training for different stakeholders
- Experience in advocacy for inclusion advantageous
- Willingness to travel extensively across the Asian continent
- Excellent communication skills
- Proactive and result-driven
- Professional proficiency in English, any additional language skills would be advantageous
- Identification with the values and mandate of CBM
