Finance/Compliance Manager for Delhi-Based USAID Project

We work with governments, international development banks, including The World Bank and Inter-American Development Bank, UN agencies, NGOs and other partners in the international development and humanitarian assistance sector to help communities build resilience to natural disasters.

We are currently seeking a Finance/Compliance Manager for an anticipated disaster risk reduction project, USAID Support to the Coalition for Disaster Resilient Infrastructure (CDRI) project in India. This is a 5-year-long program. The position is contingent upon Miyamoto International, Inc. being selected for an award. This position is subject to and contingent upon USAID approval of candidates put forth for consideration by Miyamoto International, Inc.

Some of the central responsibilities of this position are:

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with project leadership and other technical staff to ensure coherence of activities across all program functions.
  • Ensure compliance with USAID procedures and regulations in implementation of all program activities; Effectively stay abreast of donor policies, procedures, rules and regulations; compile and update applicable local policies per local laws.
  • Actively work with all levels of management to gather, analyze, summarize, and prepare financial plans, budgets, cash flow projections, pipeline analyses, and operating forecasts.
  • Monitor actual expenditure levels against budgets and funding obligations.
  • Oversee the project finance and administrative start-up.
  • Oversee procurement of equipment and commodities.
  • Undertake special projects which support the budget process and other departmental functions including financial reporting.
  • Assist staff in determining allowability and allocability of costs to award
  • Responsible for developing and leading internal audit process, budgeting, financial reports, and planning.
  • Develop and institute procedures for logistical support of all project activities (local and international travel, procurement, management of office premises, support for local and international STTA).
  • Coordinate orientation to project’s policies and procedures.
  • Perform other duties as required

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Graduate degree in finance or accounting.
  • Minimum of 10 years management and/or direct experience in USAID project management, contract administration, financial management, and/or program operations.
  • Experience with managing finance and administrative resources for USAID multi-million-dollar projects.
  • Fluent English language skills. Ability to communicate clearly with thoughtful, accurate information.
  • Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
  • Solid organizational skills; able to prioritize workload; multi-task and meet deadlines with attention to detail.
  • Capacity building skills: the ability to facilitate change; and identify opportunities for different and innovative approaches is critical.
