Migration & Asylum Project (M.A.P) is looking to engage a qualified software development organisation for the design and development of a mobile application for its Sexual-and-Gender-based-Violence Programme.

M.A.P is India’s first dedicated law centre for forced migration and displacement. Started in 2013, it seeks to end the marginalisation of some of the most vulnerable communities in the world - migrants and refugees – by making Rule of Law central to addressing human rights challenges and ensuring grassroots justice. About the SGBV Programme
One of M.A.P’s core focus areas is working towards prevention and addressing sexual-and-gender-based-violence (SGBV) amongst displaced communities. M.A.P’s SGBV Programme aims to formulate innovative solutions to facilitate remote delivery of services to survivors of SGBV and to strengthen the linkages of the displaced community to mainstream response systems.
Towards this end, M.A.P has envisioned the creation of a digital tool in the form of a mobile application that would allow survivors to access local support and legal systems for immediate interventions. The primary purpose of the mobile application would be:
o To provide hyper-local linkages to the community support services and SGBV service providers nearest to the user;
o To provide legal awareness information to the user; and
o To function as a recourse center for critical support services.
Further information will be discussed with applicants in the next stage of the application process.
Timeline
Proposed timeline for design and development of a prototype of the mobile application is 3 months from the date of engagement.
Who should Apply?
Digital service companies that specialise in mobile app design and development, with at least 5-7 years of qualifying experience.Previous work on similar digital tools in the development sector context is essential.
