Position Overview

As the SCRUM Master, you’ll be part of the Product team, working closely with internal stakeholders to plan and manage product releases in a timely manner. You may be required to participate in product backlog creation.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Lead the scrum team in using Agile methodology and scrum practices
  • Helping the product owner and development team to achieve product releases in a timely manner
  • Work with product owners to handle backlogs and new requests
  • Lead the scrum and development team in planning and facilitating sprint development
  • Identify and remove impediments and coach the scrum team on removing impediments
  • Resolve conflicts and remove obstacles that occur
  • Help the scrum team achieve higher levels of scrum maturity
  • Support the product owner and provide education where needed
  • Manage each project’s scope and timeline
  • Coordinate backlog development, grooming, sprint reviews, retrospective meetings, daily stand-ups and other sprint ceremonies
  • Coach team members in Agile frameworks
  • Facilitate internal communication and effective collaboration
  • Ensure deliverables are up to quality standards at the end of each sprint
  • Help build a productive environment where team members ‘own’ the product and enjoy working on it

Qualifications and Experience

Essential

  • 2-4 years of prior experience in a on a scrum team, particularly in implementing cloud and/or mobile solutions
  • Ability to analyze and think quickly and to resolve conflict
  • Knowledgeable in techniques to fill in gaps in the scrum
  • Ability to determine what is scrum and what is not
  • Experience with successful Agile techniques
  • Ability to work with and lead a team
  • Strong communication, interpersonal and mentoring skills
  • Ability to adapt to a changing environment
  • Self-motivation and ability to stay focused in the middle of distraction
  • Advanced degree with preference to the technical courses in relevant fields
  • Demonstrated problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot in a structured way
  • Exceptional written & verbal communication skills used to draft technical documentation, translate challenging concepts into simple, yet accurate terms, and collaborate effectively and professionally with internal and external stakeholders
  • Enthusiasm for working in a small, dynamic, international environment, often collaborating with colleagues cross-team and cross-hub
  • Ability to carry tasks forward independently or collaboratively with the reporting team.
  • Meticulousness, punctuality, and outstanding attention to detail

Preferred

  • Significant experience working with CRM and other data management tools/platforms, particularly Salesforce
  • 2+ years of working in technology industry
  • 2+ years working on the Salesforce Lightning Platform
  • Proficient in the use of G-Suite applications or other common cloud-based software (i.e. Dropbox, Box, etc.)
  • Awareness of core social sector concepts such as Grant Management, Impact Measurement, Fundraising etc.
  • Demonstrated interest in working with social sector clients or experience in a social sector organisation
