Welthungerhilfe (WHH) requires a 5-day training for approximately 20 participants, including WHH and WHH partner staff (male and female). Most participants will be Afghan citizens whose first language is not English. The training is planned to take place on March 16, 2020 to March 20, 2020.
Objectives of training area:
- Theoretically and practically familiarise participants with design thinking and Scrum, including main concepts (including but not limited to ideation, iteration, prototyping, human-centred design, agility, and ‘pivoting’, etc)
- Familiarise participants with design thinking tools including but not limited to personas, journey mapping, ‘job to do’, etc
- Meaningfully integrate learning design thinking and Scrum
- Include significant practical exercises
- Be delivered in a highly visual and participatory manner
- And include any other focus that the Consultant deems important or critical to developing understanding of design thinking and Scrum
Deliverables:
The Consultant/s will deliver:
- Draft training concept / plan prior to training, to be presented and discussed through a consultative session with Head of Project – WHH Afghanistan
- Comprehensive multi-day training for WHH Afghanistan staff and key staff of WHH Afghanistan partner organisations, to be conducted in Bengaluru, India
- Post training debriefing presentation to Head of Project – WHH Afghanistan
- The deliverables are to be:
- Prepared and conducted in English only
- Prepared in coordination with and actively seeking the input of Head of Project – WHH Afghanistan
Proposed timetable
- Submission of expression of interest (EOI) including draft training concept / plan, and full budget containing line-item details on foreseen costs
- Draft training concept / plan to be presented and discussed through short consultative session with Head of Project – WHH Afghanistan by February 26, 2020 (to be conducted remotely)
- Comprehensive multi day training/s for WHH Afghanistan staff and key staff of WHH Afghanistan partner organisations during March 16 – 20 2020
- Post training debriefing session / presentation to Head of Project, 10 days after delivery of training (to be conducted remotely)
Your qualifications will include:
The Consultant is expected to be:
- Willing to travel to Afghanistan and to travel and stay in Bengaluru, India, where the accommodation and training venue is booked for the participants for the duration of delivering the training
- An experienced design thinking and / or Scrum trainer with extensive international experience, including extensive experience delivering design thinking and agile management trainings to non-Western participants
- Fluent in English
