PSI is seeking applications for the position of Project Organiser to support work with affiliates in Indiato organise health and care workers.
The organiser will build on existing work by both affiliates and PSI in the sub-region to organise ASHA and Anganwadi workers to secure Decent Work and ensure the public health and care sectors are supported. S/he will organise capacity building, research, assist in the development of campaigns and advocacy and fulfil PSI obligations to funders and partners.
- We are looking for somebody who:
- Is an energetic and experienced organiser
- Understands the struggles of informal sector health and care workers
- Understands the Indian trade union movement or could learn quickly
- Has strong written and verbal English and can travel
- Has previous experience in reporting
The position is fixed term full time position for up to three years. It will be based in Chennai, India.
